Parcel and Building Mapping of FHA Estate

Geospatial Research LTD was contracted to map the Parcel and Building for the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) Estates in Lagos and Abuja as a strategic initiative to provide accurate and up-to-date geospatial data for effective land and estate management. This project leverages advanced aerial surveying technologies and vectorization techniques to map all buildings and parcels within FHA estates. By employing high-resolution aerial imagery, the project seeks to capture precise spatial details of the estates, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy. A core objective of this project is the reconciliation of the existing estate layouts with the newly acquired aerial survey data. This process involves overlaying and comparing the current layout plans with the vectorized data to identify and rectify discrepancies, ensuring the mapped data aligns with the on-ground reality. This alignment is critical for improved land administration, optimal utilization of estate resources, and informed decision-making regarding future developments within the estates. By integrating state-of-the-art geospatial technologies and adhering to best practices in surveying and mapping, this project will establish a reliable geospatial database for the FHA estates, fostering transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in their management.
