Project Overview

Objective: To create a detailed and accurate digital vector map showing the building footprints within the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) coverage area in Lagos, Nigeria.

Purpose: To support EKEDC in planning, infrastructure management, and targeted service delivery by providing a visual and spatial representation of buildings in their coverage area.

Scope: The project focuses on generating vector maps of all building footprints within EKEDC’s operational areas, potentially covering several LGAs within Lagos.

 GIS Integration:
  • Database Creation: Store vector data in a spatial database for easy access.
  • Quality Control: Accuracy checks with ground data and specialist reviews.
  • Coverage Overlay: Overlay EKEDC service boundaries to understand building distribution.

Deliverables:

  • Vector Files: Final shapefiles with building footprints.
  • Metadata: Document data sources and methodology
