Project Objective
The Lagos Transport Authority (LAMATA) aims to develop a comprehensive, state-of-the-art Geographic Information System (GIS) to enhance its transportation planning, management, and decision-making processes.
This ambitious project encompasses the upgrade of existing GIS hardware and software, acquisition of high-quality spatial data, and the provision of ongoing support and maintenance. Additionally, the project seeks to incorporate cutting-edge technologies, improve data management, and facilitate capacity building for LAMATA staff.
Scope of Work
- Hardware Upgrade
- Upgrade the existing GIS Server Hardware to ensure high performance, reliability and Scalability with acquisition of 1 HP DL 380 G11 Server Intel Xeon Gold 6444Y, 64GB DDR5, 600GB SAS Drive, Registered Memory
- Increase the storage capacity to accommodate the growing volume of spatial data and associated information
- Procuring HP Designjet Large Format Printer
- Procuring two APC 2.2KVA UPS
- Field Data Collection Equipment: Procuring GPS monitors, for field data collection.
2. Licences upgrade
- Renew LAMATA’s ArcGIS software and extensions licenses (ESRI) for a duration of 2 years:
- ArcGIS for Server Enterprise Advanced
- ArcGIS Desktop Advanced (Concurrent)
- ArcGIS for Desktop Network Analysis Extension
- ArcGIS for Desktop Spatial Analyst Extension
- ArcGIS for Desktop 3D Analyst Extension IN
- ArcGIS Schematic Extension.
- Upgrade the GIS Server Operating System to Windows Server 2022 Enterprise Edition for enhanced security and functionality.
- Upgrade the Server SQL Database Tool.
- Procuring and setting up a Digital Certificate to enable secure remote access to LAMATA’s Enterprise GIS platform.
