Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Business Developer / Bidding Specialist to drive revenue growth through strategic business development, competitive bidding, and proposal management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience identifying opportunities, managing end-to-end bid processes, and building long-term client and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across public and private sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Bidding and Proposal Management
- Lead the end-to-end bidding process, including Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and tenders.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical, financial, and operational inputs for bids.
- Prepare high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals and bid documents.
- Ensure timely submission of bids and adherence to client and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update a bid pipeline and tender tracking system.
- Ensure timely processing of company compliant documents.
Negotiation & Reporting
- Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
- Prepare regular reports on bid performance, win/loss analysis, and business development activities.
- Continuously improve bidding strategies based on outcomes and feedback.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in business development, bidding, or proposal management.
- Strong understanding of tendering and procurement processes (public and private sectors).
- Excellent proposal writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proposal management tools.
